The Central Texas chapter, founded in 2019, is the colaborative effort of ocean advocates George Cummings, Charlotte Vick, and Heather Kuhlken. Using Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 14, George has taken the initiatives and messaging of the Inland Ocean Coalition to areas in the Gulf of Mexico. Charlotte has used her network to further develop chapter impacts in Austin, Texas. Heather aims to grow the Inland Ocean network by collaborating with other organizations focused on community education and engagement.
