Colorado State University Chapter
The Inland Ocean Coalition's second University chapter was started in late 2017 by Paul Burnsworth, a student at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. After spending two years in Monterey, CA and 3 years in Hawaii, Paul fell in love with the ocean. Upon moving to Colorado, he realized how much he missed being near the sea. That's when a professor mentioned that there might be an ocean coalition in Boulder that could help him get into ocean conservation despite being landlocked. Paul reached out and a University chapter was started.
Paul and other members of the CSU chapter are passionate about keeping our watersheds clean, reducing plastic pollution, and engaging with neighbors and community members about the problems we face and how we can all be part of the solution in keeping the water we drink safe and clean.
